What Is the Omnitrix?
Created by the brilliant Galvan inventor Azmuth, the Omnitrix was never intended to be the ultimate weapon. Instead, it was designed as a symbol of peace. By storing the DNA of countless alien species, the Omnitrix allows its user to experience life as another species, promoting understanding rather than conflict.
Over the years, different versions of the Omnitrix introduced powerful new technologies such as DNA Repair, Master Control, Ultimate Evolution, Alien Fusion, Omni-Kix Armor, Fail-Safe protection, and many more advanced features.
Some versions became legendary, while others failed because of design flaws or limited functionality.

#16 Unitrix – The First Step Toward the Omnitrix
The Unitrix is one of Azmuth’s earliest experiments and serves as the foundation for the technology that would later become the Omnitrix.
Unlike the final Omnitrix, the Unitrix cannot transform its user into aliens. Instead, it stores the DNA of only a single species at a time. This severely limits its usefulness compared to later versions that can hold thousands of DNA samples.
One of its most interesting features is Eunice, an artificial life-form capable of temporarily using the powers of stored DNA. However, those abilities last only for a short time before disappearing.
Although historically important, the Unitrix lacks almost every feature that made later Omnitrix models legendary.

Its biggest advantage was the ability to evolve normal aliens into Ultimate Forms, allowing Albedo to access transformations such as Ultimate Rath, Ultimate Articguana, and Ultimate Albedo.
However, outside of Albedo’s unique condition, this device offers very little value. If Ben or another character were to use it, many of its special functions would become unnecessary.

#13 Zombietrix
The Zombietrix belongs to Zombie Ben from an alternate universe.

Most of its known transformations involve zombie versions of traditional Ben 10 aliens. However, aliens originating from the Anur System, such as Ghostfreak, Blitzwolfer, Frankenstrike, and Snare-oh, remain largely unchanged because of their naturally undead characteristics.

#12 Nemetrix – The Predator Omnitrix
Unlike every other Omnitrix on this list, the Nemetrix was never designed to transform its user into intelligent alien heroes. Instead, it was created by Dr. Psychobos for Khyber as a weapon specifically built to hunt Ben’s aliens.
Rather than storing the DNA of alien species, the Nemetrix stores the DNA of their natural predators. Every transformation is designed to counter a specific Omnitrix alien, making it one of the most dangerous anti-Omnitrix devices ever created.
For example, many of Ben’s strongest aliens suddenly become vulnerable when facing their biological predators. This makes the Nemetrix incredibly effective in combat despite having a very limited purpose.
However, the Nemetrix comes with one massive flaw.
Its DNA is too primitive and instinct-driven for intelligent beings to handle safely. If a normal human or another highly intelligent lifeform attempts to use it, the overwhelming predator instincts can permanently damage their mind.
Because of this, the Nemetrix can only be safely used by creatures with lower intelligence, such as Zed, Khyber’s hunting companion.
